Literature Text

What emptiness that clouds the mind
and fills the heart with grief.
What enlightenment, what joy that comes
from shattered heart’s relief.

The days and night, so lost and strange
in fuzzy, bygone life.
But morose in this dream unwound
devoid of daily strife.

The final words are carved in stone
the spaces rough and bare.
A life haphazardly cut short.
What tragedies ensnare.

But at last comes the end to this most painful day.
My hearts true nature comes
as my thoughts are slowly striped away…

                       …away…
…away…
Firs part of my five-part Dido poem. The best part so far-I looked back on my other rough draft for the rest and yelled "AAAAAAH WHAT WAS I ON WHEN I WROTE THIS SO BAAAAAAD."

Aw, poor Dido. Her shade is in the "suicide victim nowhere land" in the underworld. I sort of wanted to express that, but it came out a little more sympathetic than that. I thougth she deserved better. SAY HI TO OPHELIA WHILE YOU'RE DOWN THERE.
